A few of my favorite things

This weeks challenge for Heart2Heart is A Few of My Favorite Things. I couldn't decide which few things I wanted to create with because I just love so many things out of the Fall catalog! With that being said, here are just a few, well maybe a little more than a few favorite things.

I made this card to send to my parents for their 32nd wedding anniversary. Whenever there is a challenge, I love to be able to apply it to something that I am working on to send to my loved ones.
The materials I used to create this card are all CTMH products and can be found Here .
I used:
-Sarita paper packet
-champagne and saddle cardstock
-cranberry, chocolate and outdoor denim ink
-Trinkets wood shapes
-Base & Bling floral accents
-Love Life Everyday Life stamp set

Hope that you will head over to the H2H blog and see other beautiful projects this week. You should considering joining in! It is so much fun!

A little Birthday Gift

For this weeks challenge on the Heart2Heart blog, I wanted to make something other than a card. Our challenge was Brown Paper Packages Tied With String. So I made just that.

When you take the lid off of the gift box, the sides will fall flat and there is a gift card holder in the center. It is a very fun way to give a gift. All products used are from CTMH.
-kraft cardstock
-honey cardstock
-Dreampop paper for the lid
-lagoon, honey, cotton candy and gypsy ink
-You Are My Happy stamp set
-Love Life Everyday Life stamp set
-white daisy twine from the neutral assortment
-pink glitter gems

Hope you will go over to the H2H blog and see what others have created for this challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

  • Dream Pop paper packet(no longer available)
  • Cricut Artiste
  • Chocolate, Outdoor Denim and Sunset stamp pads
  • Adhesive Gems
  • Burlap trim(Michaels)

Jenna's Wedding Invitations

Just wanted to share the latest wedding invitations that I had the pleasure of creating for the bride to be. All my invitations are hand made and were created specifically for the bride.

I wanted to share these invitations as an introduction to what it means to be home made.  The technique used for these flowers was one I had learned a long time ago. To help make these flowers really stand out and still compliment the shimmer pocket design, I chose a deeper color lilac to ink the edges of the petals.

After cutting and inking each petal for the flowers, each petal was folded to create 120 flowers. To top them off, I added some bling to make them just for Jenna. With a few steps in between, the final outcome was Jenna's wedding invitations.

National Scrapbooking Month

Hello All :)
The sun is shining and I have all the windows open in the house. I just love this time of year. It really has me in the creative mood, so I sat down and starting creating with CTMH "Dream Pop" paper packet. It is just wonderful! Here are a couple cards that I whipped up so far.

There are so many options with this paper. As graduation season is upon us, this paper would work great to create a card for that special graduate in your life. There are 6 double sided patterned papers and 6 different colors of resist cardstock. This allows for so many options. This paper packet is only available during the month of May from CTMH. You can get your very own for only $10! If you would like more information on this, leave a comment and I would be happy to assist you. You can also visit http://accreations.ctmh.com where you can find more information on this awesome deal.

Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather too!

Spring Forward

This weeks challenge on H2H is spring forward. It could be anything from the sun, time change, flowers, Easter, anything that reminds you of spring. My favorite part about spring is all the blooming flowers, so I created a floral card.

This card was very fun to make because CTMH has so many fun spring colors to work with. To make this card, I used all products from CTMH.

  • Chantilly Paper packet
  • Glitter paper
  • Girls Rock stamp set
  • Glamour lowercase and Trinity alphabet stamp sets
  • Olive bakers twine
  • Cotton candy, Sorbet, Pear, Lagoon and Chocolate ink pads
  • Pink glitter gems
  • Sparkles

Hard Challenge

Hello all! Thought I would share with you real quick what I made for the challenge on Heart 2 Heart this week. The challenge, Clean And Simple. Well, this challenge for me was NOT simple! Ha. I am usually one to just pile in the detail when it comes to making cards, so when I had to make it simple, lets just say it took me a bit to get it together.

I used the surf's up paper packet for this weeks challenge. This paper is one of my favorites because I absolutely love going to the beach. The paper yo-yo I used is from the Surf's up assortment and I added a touch of sparkle by using the Bitty Sparkles. I used Versa Mark to stamp my saying and then sponged ink over it with CTMH lagoon and chocolate ink.

Make sure you check out the Heart 2 Heart blog this week to see what others have created.

Tags

This weeks challenge over at Heart 2 Heart is tags. I love, love LOVE making cards, so here is my card with a tag.

I just love how this tag fits into the little brown paper bag. It was a perfect embellishment for a masculine card. I am still hooked on the Chantilly paper packet! It is so versatile that I can make girly cards or masculine cards with it.

I simply stamped our friends name on the tag, so that if his wife chooses, she can reuse the tag! You should now head over to H2H and see what other creative things are being crafted!

LOVE

Our blog challenge this week is "Love is in the air." I had already started working on a Valentines Day card, so I decided to finish it and share it with all of you.

I am smitten with the CTMH glitter paper, so I just had to use it on this card! Another favorite of mine are the pink glitter gems.

I used the Die-Cut cards that are available in the Spring/Summer 2013 catalog. These cards are so fun to work with because they add a touch of beauty to any card.

Hope you will head over to Heart 2 Heart and enjoy all the love in the air.

Just for fun, I created these cute little valentine bags to give away to close friends.

I used the Who's your Valentine stamp set and created little tags for each treat bag. I filled them with chocolate kisses of course and tied them shut with white bakers twine.

H2H Challenge- Home Decor

Our first challenge for February is creating Home Decor. I decided to do up the 12x12 display tray that is available in the Spring/Summer 2013 catalog.

I wanted to create something that I would be able to display all year. I used the Chantilly paper packet in this challenge as well. Since the paper is double sided, it gives you many options to work with. I am in LOVE with burlap, so I used that as a base and worked from there.

I really enjoyed this challenge:) Head on over to H2H and see what others have created!

H2H All That Glitters

The Heart 2 Heart challenge this week is- All that Glitters. I decided to use some new things that will be available Feb. 1st out of the Spring/Summer catalog just to give you a sneak peek.

I used the Chantilly paper packet. It has so many wonderful spring colors in it, that I just couldn't resist.

I used the glitter paper and the pink glitter gems that will also be available Feb. 1st. This
card layout was my take on a card layout in Make It from Your Heart book. It is full of awesome inspiration.

Make sure you check out H2H and join the challenge. Let us see your take on glitter!
